It all started in 1993 after a weekend of binging Pepsi and Warheads. Our goal was simple: we wanted to build a headquarters for our quickly growing operation. The target was a lovely mid-20th century tree on a small but charming front lawn. A few days later, what resulted was our first product: a treehouse. We're proud of our first office -- it wasn't just carbon neutral, it was carbon negative.

Sadly, we didn't last long. The landlord wasn't happy with our squatting and shortly after we were evicted. Clearly, we didn't have a future in real estate or construction.

Dejected but optimistic we decided that instead of construction, we should make movies. Armed with a VHS camera and a budget of toilet paper and a Halloween mask, we made a horror film about an interdimensional soul-devouring ghoul looking for true love. We had a grand total of one special effect, and our continuity department failed to spot errors, but the movie was a great success with our moms.

From then on, we were hooked not on phonics but on building. With a tiny amount of creativity, we could both have fun and (at least some of the time) people were able to have fun with us.

Over time, treehouses turned into dorm rooms, dorm rooms into apartments, and eventually apartments into a proper office. And along the way we learned more ways to harness the power of technology to make our thoughts real. Our goal today is the same as it was when we were just kids: make fun stuff to entertain ourselves, and try our hardest to bring other other people along for the ride.

We hope you enjoy what we make as much as we enjoyed making it. So while you're here, relax, you can order the lobster tail and champagne. The bill's on us.
